Statement of Faith

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1

We believe that the Holy Bible is God's divinely inspired work. Written by men, but inspired by God.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe that a law was originally created, a set of rules and regulations put into place for the children of Israel, God's chosen people. This law was perfect, and it gave humans a chance to acknowledge their sin before a Holy God and ask for forgiveness.

When Jesus came to Earth, He was born of a virgin-proof for all that He must be the Son of God. He grew up, performing miracles and teaching and caring for lives around Him, showing that He was divine. And then, He died on the Roman cross-one of the most brutal ways of death ever devised, and spent three hours of absolute darkness and agony, paying for the sins of humanity with His own blood, with the perfect gift of Himself-the holy and blameless Son of God. And, after three days in the grave, He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven to be reunited with God, his Father. We believe that every person who's accepted the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ has the Holy Spirit dwelling in their heart, and nothing can be done to take that away from them.

"But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, come of woman, come under law, that He might redeem those under law, that we might receive sonship. But because ye are sons, God has sent out the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father. So thou art no longer bondmen, but son; but if son, heir also through God." Galations 4:4-7

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."John 10 27-28

These events changed the course of history and gave us all freedom from the law--or salvation by works(the things we do). All one must do to receive the gift of Jesus; the forgiveness of past sins and future sins and a place as a child of God until then is ask. He does not ever turn a person away, and He forgives us completely, because he has already paid the price for our sins. He longs for us to come to Him.

"He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities, and thou will cast our sins into the depths of the sea." Micah 7:19

"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it shall be opened unto him." Matthew 7:8

We do our best to live according to His word. No one is perfect, but we serve a perfect God who loves us well.

"For from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace" John 1:16

"In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death." Proverbs 14:26-27

We await His return. He has promised that He is coming back for His own. We watch and wait for that day.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

This camp is a place where we can gather to reflect and share the Glory of our Savior and His finished work on the cross for us, and where we can share our stories of His work in our lives. We believe everyone has a story to tell of His grace and goodness, and everyone's story matters, because He custom-builds each one according to what we need to make us more like Him.  It is our own version of coming away and resting awhile, and encouraging each other towards Him.

"And He said to them, "Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while."" Mark 6:31
